YP Community Transport will welcome it’s new General Manager, David McDonald, into the business on 15 June 2020. David knows he has some big shoes to fill following Julie Mason’s 17 year tenure with the organisation. David comes from Regional Victoria to take on this leadership role, with extensive experience in marketing, media, and community based organisations.
David was the CEO of Variety in QLD previously, where he leveraged the business and brand to new heights, drawing opportunities for diversification and strengthened relationships with their community. David’s passion is contagious and his enthusiasm to integrate into the community is clear to everyone in his company. David and his wife will move to Yorke peninsula as permanent residents, as soon as possible to take on this role and the way of life that the Yorke Peninsula offers. HM Executive were the appointed recruitment agency that managed the process with the Board of YP Community Transport directly, and all that were involved in the process are delighted with the result.
Alison Surjan, Director of Executive Recruitment said she was “honoured to partner with the organisation and excited to see what’s in store for the future.” When asked for a few words, the newly appointed General Manager said, “I am absolutely thrilled to be awarded the role as General Manager for the Yorke Peninsula Community Transport organisation (YPCT)! I was excited about the opportunity from the moment I first saw this wonderful role advertised. The thing that connected with me immediately, was the fact that YPCT was clearly making a difference to the community on the Peninsula and it is a much needed and valued cause. Serving the community is at the forefront of everything we do and will continue to be so. The future opportunities for YPCT are endless and we will continue to adapt, improvise and overcome any obstacles so that we may best serve and assist our local communities and stay true to our core values.” No doubt, it’s fair to say to the whole of the Yorke Peninsula, watch this space!
